Checking out additional information about our Donation Harvests? Thank you for being here! Read on for more information:
What are the Donation Harvests?
This year, we’re adding a supplemental donation product to our Marketplace. In addition to supporting organizations in your community just by receiving a harvest, you can add a one-time (or add it multiple times!) charitable donations that will provide a local organization with fresh produce.
When can I add a donation product to my harvest?
We’ll open up this product on October 13th, 2025, and it can be added to any cart between October 13th, 2025 and January 4th, 2026.
Can I add a donation product if I don’t want a harvest?
Absolutely! This can be added on any week (harvest or no!), as long as you don’t add a vacation hold.
How do I add this to my harvest?
Visit our Marketplace between October 13th and January 2nd, and select ‘Donation Harvest’ from our Marketplace. Then select the date that you’d like it to be added!
What is the cost?
These are a flat $17.00, which is the price of our Mini Harvest. This will provide the equivalent monetary value of produce to one of our four spotlighted organizations.
Do I have to manually add it each week?
Yes. This must be added each week to consent to the charge for this donation. While you can add it multiple times, each time you must log in and add it to your cart.
What are the community organizations that will be spotlighted?
We’ll be splitting the donations collected between four community organizations. The Capital Area Food Bank (Washington), Mama Tee (Philadelphia), the Franciscan Center (Baltimore), and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (Fairland, MD).
Can I suggest an organization to work with?
Of course! While this limited run of donations will go to the four chosen groups here, we are always on the lookout for new donation partners, and would love to hear about organizations you feel are doing great work in your community.
How are you donating to these organizations?
We are conducting ‘in-kind’ donations, which allows us to supply these organizations with produce that they’ll use and distribute directly in communities. This means that we can maximize our impact by collaborating with these groups directly to get them what they need most urgently!
Is this tax-deductible? Can I donate directly to these organizations?
No. While we work with qualifying organizations, these are not tax-deductible. We encourage you to support us or these organizations in the best way you see fit!
Why is this not available year-round?
We’re hoping that moving forward, we can implement other exciting new ways to participate in fundraisers that impact your community. Stay tuned, we hope that we’ll be able to continue these into the new year and will make announcements as we cheer on other groups in your communities.
Thank you again for considering donating to these deserving organizations, as well as supporting your community just by ordering a harvest. We could not do this without your support and appreciate each and every day that you support us and allow us to do work that we feel passionately about!
