We are constantly evaluating and minimizing our packaging. We use recyclable packaging as much as possible! That's why your harvest comes in a box made of recycled paper. These boxes are 100% curbside recyclable and are even printed with non-toxic ink.

You can find out more information here: https://www.hungryharvest.net/recycle

For packaging within the box, we try to only use plastic if items already come packaged or if it is absolutely necessary. As part of our mission to reduce waste in all aspects of our business, we try to ensure most of your fruits and veggies should come loose in your box!

However, certain items like cherry tomatoes or berries will not make the journey to your home safely if they aren't in plastic containers. Our mission is to fight food waste, and the last thing we want to do is to contribute to this problem by delivering items you can't enjoy. Unfortunately, there is no way to request no use of plastic packaging in your deliveries.

I hope that helps clarify why you'll see plastic sometimes!
